National Skill Development Council (NSDC) is established to confer vocational training and skill development to the ever growing workforce of the country through its various skill training programs. NSDC is an initiative taken under a first of its kind Public Private Partnership (PPP). NSDC, with its 62 alliances, is going to train around 74 million people in the next 10 years in India. The organization focuses on private sector and contributes to the upliftment of the unorganized sector in India by imparting skill improvement training.
It also engages in support and training programmes, in-depth research to find skill gaps in the Indian workforce, and developing accreditation norms. NSDC has been set up under PM’s National Council on Skill Development with the primary mandate of enhancing, supporting and coordinating private sector initiative for skill development.
Skill Tree Consulting (P) Ltd is associated with NSDC with an objective to cater to healthcare sector by providing specialized, internationally accredited training services through a structured and qualitative curriculum. It has also made certain that the skill development programmes that it has developed help the rural India to elevate the existing condition of unorganized sectors in the country.
